Turns out they want us to “cell for cash” our cell phones. It’s a play on words I suppose. to Sell your old cell phones. Here are a couple things I’ve found while surfing around and trying to find some more info on this:

The Democratic National Convention believe there could be a use of the crap cannon at their convention. Yes that’s right… the DNC believes someone could unleash the brown note upon them.

Mark Cohen, co-founder of Re-create 68, an alliance of local activists working for the protection of first amendment rights, said he believes this could be deployed at the convention in August to subdue crowds.

“We know this weapon and weapons like it have been used at other large protests before,” he said.

Cohen, who described Brown Note as a “sonic weapon used to disrupt people’s equilibrium,” cited eyewitness accounts of its use during free-trade agreement protests in Miami in 2003.

Even though I’ll be voting Obama in 2008–I would LOVE to see the crap cannon unleashed and for the brown note to cause the entire convention to crap their pants. I believe I would be rolling on the floor for close to 3 months. Three cheers for the crap cannon!

Pepsi co. has turned Mt. Dew into it’s own fanchise. Because lets face it these “Mt. Dew” dewmocracy drinks don’t taste anything like Mt. Dew. But apparantly according to the dewmocracy (or is it dewmocrazy) anything with the “Mt. Dew” label sells a boat load of soda. Green. Blue. Purple. Snot. I don’t think it matters XXXTREEEME soda drinkers will inhale it in mass quantities.

But the Dewmocracy raises and interesting point. Have we thrown being healthy right out the window? Do we not care anymore about what kind of toxins we throw into our body? It turns out snacking–that includes drinking gallons of soda a day is a major problem in the obsesity epidemic in America. So before you exersize your right as a soda drinker in a dewmocracy. Consider this:

Snacking is one of those issues that can wreck the greatest diet plans for a healthier lifestyle. Everyone wants a snack now and then, drink a Mt. Dew here or there, but the key is to make those snacks healthy and nutritious as well as delicious. Soda is certainly NOT healthy. And should not be a part of any proper diet.

There are many great snacks and beverages that can be savored guilt free. And stay in line with any diet plan. For instance choosing whole grain snack, or your standard fruits and vegis, milk and dairy products are also a must. So instead of a new mountain dew and a dewocracy maybe it’s time for a glass of milk. Rumor has it. It does the body good.

The world of grain and whole grain products contain a great many healthy options for a healthy lifestyle, including breads (wheat & rye bread are great options), whole wheat bagels and muffins are yummy, wheat tortilla shells, pita bread and whole grain cereals. Now you can’t pour new mountain dew flavors into your cereal bowl either! It’s still pop! And it’s still unhealthy.

The ubiquitous fruits and vegi’s food group contains the most posibilities for healthy snacks that it would be impossible to get into detail of all the mountain dew replacing alternatives. Some of the tastiest and easiest fresh fruit and vegetable snacks are baby carrots, carrot slices, apples, pears, cantalope. All delicious. And NO I know what you’re thinking. You cannot dip them into the new dewocracy flavored mountain dews. Mt. Dew is not a dip!

You can also try snacking on fruit salads. Triscuits. Bagels. Soup. Whole wheat. Whole grain. There are tons of healthy options available. Just look them up. Just, will you please cut back on all that mountain dew!

Gene Damschroder Sr. who was 86, was flying the single engine Cessna when it went down around one pm. The Ohio State Highway Patrol commented.

The five passengers flying with Gene Damschroder also died in the crash when they were riding for a charity event.

“He’s flown enough; this is puzzling,” his son said.

This is going to naturally upset a bunch of people who are already scared to fly as it is. So how do you deal with this axienty? Here are a few ways to get rid of the axiety you have before you fly. Gene Damschroder conquered his axiety of flying in world war II.

Do you get anxious each time your emotions rear their ugly head? Does it seem uncontrollable? Is it possible to cope with your stress? Yes it is. But read this because if you do not learn how to deal with your stress and anxiety you will be at the doctor’s office regularly fighting disease, and other stress related illnesses. First, to conquer your anxiety you are going to have to make changes in your life and accept those changes. You will need to adjust your lifestyle sometimes in small way other times they may take work. Start by reducing your monthly bills, focus on slower spending, make sure your friends are postive and not anxious as well. You need to surround yourself to overcome anxiety. Change makes a differance and most people find it hard to face change. To help you see how this is true we can consider conquering your axiety of flying.

Define your area of anxiety in your working environment. Is the situation better or worse today?
What is your sleeping patterns been like in the recent past? Are you sleeping a regular schedule? do you get at least 6 hour a day? Is it different everyday?
What are your eating habits and how have they changed in the past few months? Are you eating healthy? Do you eat at least 2 meals a day. You should be eating 3.
What are your dressing patterns? Do you dress to meet fads or to please self? Believe it or not, but fassion statements can cause undue anxiety for no good reason
What is your financial status? Are your struggle or have you noticed changes? Are you making your bills on time? Or you lowering your debt? have you contacted a debt consolidation service?
Do you have problems with the law? Unpaid traffic tickets? Expired tabs? Can you deal with them today? This is a major source of anxiety. Get rid of these problems. And your Axiety will decrease.
How is your family situation? Is it stable? To decrease your anxiety stablize your family situation
Do you engage in social activities? Go out. Meet people. Talk. you’ll like it.

After answering, the questions consider the changes that has occurred in your life to figure out what you can change to help reduce your anxiety. Gene Damschroder’s family has reason to be anxious, and stressed. Losing a family member is a fine reason to experience greif as long as you odn’t let it consume youre life. My thoughts go out to the family of Gene Damschroder.

It’s unfortunate when people loose control of their lives like this. It’s important that we all take control and recognize that we have choices to make in life. And so I’ve put together 10 ways we take control of our life.

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
It’s much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest. This is one of the “easiest” things we can do. But so many people forget that just doing the simple things in life can go a long way.

2. Tell yourself everyday the things that you are grateful for.
Stresses and challenges don’t aren’t as emotionally consuming when you continually remind yourself of all the things that are good in life. Taking just a minute a day to recognize everythign good in your life will take you far.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Just Assuming
A fear of not being liked or accepted may make us think that we have some sort of psycic ability to know what others are thinking, but the fact is we do not. And what we are thinking is not actually the reality of the situation. If you have a fear that a friend or family member’s bad mood is due to something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, The best option is to just ask them. Don’t assume. You could be leading yourself to thinking something that isn’t true.

4. Don’t use Absolutes
Have you ever told a someone “You’re ALWAYS so slow!” or complained to a colleague “You NEVER follow up with emails!”? Thinking and speaking in absolutes like ‘always’ and ‘never’ makes the situation seem worse than it is. Because no one is ALWAYS something. And you’re tricking your brain into think something that isn’t true.

5. Get away From Negative Thoughts
Your thoughts can’t hold any power over you if you don’t judge them. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, witness it, and don’t follow it.

6. Squash the “ANTs”
In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” - Automatic Negative Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually come to you naturally or are just a reaction to something, like “Those people are laughing, they must be saying something about me,” or “The boss wants to see me? I’m probably in trouble” When you realize these thoughts, notice that they are nothing more than ANTs and squash them!

7. Practice Lovin’, Touchin’ & Squeezin’ (Your Friends and Family)
You don’t have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good hug. Positive physical contact with friends, loved ones, and even pets, is known to have positive effects on your outlook on life. One research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed them their checks. She received higher gratutities from these patrons than from the customers she didn’t personally contact!

8. Increase Your Social Activity
By increasing social activity, you decrease the feeling of being alone. Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you positively!

9. Volunteer - Donate
Everyone feels good after giving a helping hand. You can donate your time, your cash, or your resources. This will help you feel better for yourself. And you will help someone else in the process. You can help Antwahn Nance.

10. Use Pattern Interrupts to Inspire change.
If you find yourself not experiencing enough change, one of the best ways to inspire change is to interrupt the pattern of negativity. Then you force yourself to change your mind set immediately. Stagnation can may give you a jaded view, and you’ll view everthing negatively. This may have happened to Anywahn Nance, and he wasn’t taught the necassry tips to help improve his life. Just stagnating never productive, because it’s not rational or solution-minded state of mind. Try changing your physical environment - go for a walk or sit outside. You could also call a friend, pick up a book, or turn on some music. But change what you’re thinking about don’t dwell and use patern interupts.

These are ten tips you can use to improve your life today. Use these tips and you will not end up in the same perdicament as Antwahn Nance.

It was certainly entertaining to watch. And what does it mean for the Red Sox lineup when the Mariners play them tomorrow at Fenway? Will the Sox’s morale hold up? The general lyrics of Handlebars by the Flobots starts with feeling a little cocky being able to “ride my bike with no handlebars”. And growing over time until eventually you are so full of yourself you can “end the planet in a holocost”.

Barack Obama will be the only African-American nominee in the nations history to have a legitimate run at the presedincy.

We found out about Obama’s win in S.D. just a few moment after the polls closed. The Montana primary has not been officially detirmed yet but as of right now Obama is expected to win Montana too. This will assuradly secure Obama’s Nomination.

A fascinating fact is, even after all the contentious debates, and Hilary Clinton’s steadfastness of “never give up attitude”. She has mentioned that she would consider becoming Barack Obama’s running mate as Vice President. An african-american and woman ticket would obviously be one of, if not THE MOST important election of this nation’s history.

This of course has not be determined by the democratic party or Barack Ombama himself. It is surely possible that he choses John Edwards as his running mate.

Last night (June 2nd 2008) Hilary Clinton thanked her supporters. And made mention of the women in their 90’s who voted for her in the primaries, that when they were born could not even vote in America. This is truly a tremendous achievement for American history.

Clinton has not officially conceded yet. Because she has one final pitch to the superdelegates:

Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania, a huge supporter of Hilary Clinton told CNN he expected her to spend Wednesday and Thursday making her pitch to superdelegates. This would be her last chance to take away the Obama Win.

“I don’t think it’s going to prevail, to be candid,” Ed Rendell states, “Senator Obama is going to get the delegates he needs certainly by the end of the week, then I think Senator Clinton is going to do the right thing and move fairly decisively to unify the party and we will all follow her lead.’

And now Clinton’s camp of aides and campaign planners have been sent home until further notice. Presumably for some deep r&r.
